Wednesday 2nd June sale for a staggering £1700…
Silk postcards were a beautiful souvenir from the first
world war and were commonly used by soldiers to send love and messages home.
The delicate hand embroidered silk was placed onto embossed
paper and secured with a glued frame.
As you can see by the pictures the hand embroideries where delightfully intricate with an array of exciting bright colours.
