It's shaping up to be a busy September at Boldon Auction Galleries - we are preparing our Fine Art and Antique Catalogue at the moment (24th September) and with two General Sales (27th August and 10th September), a single owner Fabric collection Sale and our regular Friday Valuation Days (with an extra one on Saturday 13th September) before we know it we will be October!

Fine Art and Antique Sale deadline approaching!

Entries are being invited for items to be sold Wednesday 24th September 2014 in our Autumn Fine Art and Antique Sale

One of the lots already consigned for Sale is this cold cast bronze by Franz Bergman circa 1900, modelled on a running male Arabic figure holding a staff aloft, stamped to underside with Bergman Seal and Geschutz, numbered 2897.

Estimate £800 - £1,200

The term 'cold cast bronze' refers to the technique of pieces cast in Vienna and decorated in several layers with 'dust paint'.  The colour was not fired hence the term cold painted or cold cast.

On Wednesday 27th August we will be auctioning a wide selection of China, Glassware, Collector's Items, Costume Jewellery, Gold, Silver and Silver-plated items, Clocks, Mirrors, Prints and Paintings, kitchen ware, sofas, desks, dining and bedroom furniture, single chairs, occasional tables and many other Household items and furniture.
