Daniel and Arter was a prominent Birmingham silversmith and electro-platers, established in the late 19th century. The founders were Thomas Henry Daniel and Thomas Richard Arter who became known for the production of flatware both electro-plated and silver. Sterling silver hallmarks were entered in Sheffield Assay Office, 1906 and London Assay Office, 1913. In 1920 the firm became a limited liability company and subsequently closed in the 1930s.
