A brass finished Policeman car mascot by J. Hassall, circa 1910, in the form of a policeman character, with swivelling ceramic head, signed on the waist, 11cm tall. Estimate £200 - £300. For Auction 16th February.
Designed by John Hassall, an English illustrator, who called the mascot 'Robert'. The mascot was distributed through Smith's Motor Accessories. It was marketed as 'the funniest mascot on the market'.
