Squirrelman came about after a young apprentice Wilf Hutchinson learned his craft under the expert eye of Stan Dodds, master carver at Robert Thompson's (Mousey Thompson) workshop. He began his own business in 1957 and the Squirrelman signature was born. Wilf's son continues in his father's footsteps in the North Yorkshire workshop.
