The Albert was the term coined after Prince Albert, Queen Victoria's husband, who popularised the wearing of chains across the waistcoat with seals and a T bar terminal. The opposite end of the chain is fitted with a swivel hook to attach a pocket watch, which is then worn in a vest pocket.
