Lot 4. sold 7th May for £580. A Continental frosted coloured glass Iris vase of Daum style, 29cm H and a bowl of similar design

 

Lot 405 sold 7th May for £2,300 was a fine Maples and Company Limited of London mahogany longcase clock, with engraved and silvered dial, second hand dial, chime and silent dial, Westminster chimes and chime on eight bells dial, 8 day movement, the case decorated with goats heads and heavily carved acanthus and foliage, 56cm W, 38cm D, 260cm H

Coming up for auction on the 21st May is this tinplate racing car 'Blue Bird'.

 

Major Sir Malcolm Campbell MBE (1885-1948) was a British Racing Motorist and Journalist, who gained the land speed record on land and water during the 1920's and 1930's using several vehicles called Blue Bird. His son Donald also broke land and speed records before dying trying to break the Water Speed Record in 1967.
