Vladimir Grigoryevich Tretchikoff (1913 - 2006)

a Russian self taught artist whose painting 'Chinese Girl' often known as 'The Green Lady' is one of the best selling prints of the twentieth century.  Often seen by art critics as the epitome of kitsch his prints were so popular that it was rumoured that Tretchikoff was the world's richest artist after Picasso.

Lockdown Sunrise at Boldon Auction Galleries

 

Although the country have now begun a month-long National lockdown; here at Boldon Auction Galleries the team are busy putting together the next Auction to be held on the 11th November.  For the first time in our 39 year history of holding Auctions in East Boldon it will be online only with no public allowed in to the Saleroom.

The Auction will be available to view online from Friday 6th November at 5pm and because we cannot have anyone physically viewing we are taking many more images for the online catalogue.  Please do email us info@boldonauctions.co.uk or telephone 0191 537 2630 for condition reports.

To comply with the requirements of the national lockdown from Thursday 5th November, our Auctions will be taking place online only and we will be closed to the Public. 

You can view the next Auction (11th November from 10am) online as usual from Friday 6th November at 5pm.

You can continue to bid with us live online with internet bidding, submit a commission bid or bid by telephone.

We will hold contactless collections for purchased lots on Thursday 12th November 9am-5pm, Friday 13th November 9am-5pm and Saturday 14th November 10am-1pm.  Please note that you must have arranged a time for collection with us to ensure we adhere with the Covid 19 health and safety policy in place.  (Please note at this time we are unable to assist customers to lift goods into vehicles).
