Our junior auctioneer Harry Douglas conducted the auction raising £2,950 in the sale of paintings and even an original rivet, carefully salvaged during the restoration from the Tyne Bridge thanks to the generosity of Esh Construction who are leading the restoration of the iconic Tyne Bridge.

Lot 21. A nine-leaf floor lamp by Tommaso Barbi, Italy, circa 1970, with attachments for 9 lights, the brass structure supporting pressed brass leaves. 147cm H, 112cm D, 127cm D Tommaso Barbi was an Italian designer who blurred the line between function and artistry from the 1960s to the 1980s. He became known for his striking creations that elevated everyday objects into bold, sculptural statements. Nature was a recurring theme in his work, and he often took inspiration from organic forms, particularly plants and flowers. Estimate £3,000 - £4,000. For auction 10th September.
