One of the highlights of last weeks Antique and Interiors Auction on 31st May was this pair of stunning vases which sold for £2,000.

Standing at 37.5 cm high this was a pair of Chinese famille rose GU vases with character marks to shoulder.

Famille rose is the description to describe 'soft colours' using mainly pink and purples which was introduced in China around the mid 18th century and later adopted by the European factories.
