I Am Become Death, Shatterer of Worlds

British artist Damien Hirst created the painting, ‘I Am Become Death, Shatterer of Worlds 2006’.

The title of the painting was inspired from a quote originally taken from Bhagavad Gita, of the Mahabharata and later recalled by Robert J. Oppenheimer, an American theoretical physicist, after the detonation of the first atomic bomb.  

This Damien Hirst butterfly paperweight is for auction 27th July.
