Lot 54

A fine early 17th Century Lantern Clock,
circa 1620 - 1650, with original verge
escapement, the central dial engraved with tulips,
the chapter ring with stylised wheatsheaf half hour
markers, the hand cast bell to the top enclosed by
four finials and straps surmounted with a turned
finial with three engraved pediments,
the movement resting on square supports and
rope driven (not converted, no weights or pendulum).
39.5 cm high, 14.5cm deep, dial 15.5cm diameter

'The Good Child's Cabinet' (Miniature Library) containing
15 miniature children's toy books.
The hand painted cabinet depicts an astragal glazed
bookshelf full of books with shaped cornice,
the sliding panel opens to reveal the books inside.

A pair of Wedgwood flame 'Fairyland Sunset Lustre' high
shouldered vases of baluster form; by Daisy Makeig Jones,
decorated with willow pattern in chinoiserie style,
including a candle lighthouse, highlighted in gilt, printed
Portland vase mark to base, numbered 25360
and shape number 2034.
