Coming up for auction on the 21st May is this tinplate racing car 'Blue Bird'.

 

Major Sir Malcolm Campbell MBE (1885-1948) was a British Racing Motorist and Journalist, who gained the land speed record on land and water during the 1920's and 1930's using several vehicles called Blue Bird. His son Donald also broke land and speed records before dying trying to break the Water Speed Record in 1967.
