Boldon Auction Galleries proud to support Impact Family Services charity auction at Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art

We recently supported Impact Family Services when they held a charity auction at the Baltic Centre for Contemporay Art.  Our junior auctioneer Harry Douglas conducted the auction raising £2,950 in the sale of paintings and even an original rivet, carefully salvaged during the restoration from the Tyne Bridge thanks to the generosity of Esh Construction who are leading the restoration of the iconic Tyne Bridge.

The paintings were created by children affected by domestic abuse, parental conflict or separation and adversity who attended guided, trauma-informed art sessions.  Their paintings become powerful tools: for self-understanding, for therapeutic support, and for helping adults truly see and hear them.

The amount raised will fund over 120 hours of frontline crisis intervention or preventation work with an individual or group of people.  Impact Family Services are committed to creating a brighter future for individuals and families affected by domestic abuse. With compassion and expertise, they focus on lasting change providing safety, support and hope. Their goal is to help survivors and their families heal and thrive.
